Buchanan Spring/Summer 2013 Collection

September 11, 2012

As many of you may or may not know, I am a fashion designer by trade. I do a lot of other things, but designing clothes and running a business is what I love. Since April, I have been working hard to launch a spring/summer 2013 collection….and voila: here it is! We will be taking orders from retail establishments until Oct 15th, so if you have a favorite boutique you can see us in, let them know about us!! These looks will be available for purchase on our website ( in late February.

Our inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection came from the Red Rocks of Arizona. We just love the soft glow of the sun when it’s setting and the cool crispness of the desert sand at night. Many people find religious solitude and peace in Arizona’s glowing outdoors, which inspired our ‘turned in collars’ for this collection. This twist on the average collar looks both slightly demonic (the turned in devil’s horns) and like a halo encircling the face. Our specialty print for this season is an actual graphic of the Red Rocks distorted into an attractive quatrefoil pattern that we designed in house. Completely unrelated the Red Rocks theme, except for the fact that it’s also beautiful, is the piping detail we laced throughout the collection.
