The 10 Commandments of Holiday Giving

December 2, 2014

It’s that time of year. It seems like just yesterday you were enjoying your first pumpkin spice latte of the season and all of the sudden you wake up and December is knocking on your door. Every year you swear you will start your shopping early…but then…well, life happens. When you’re buying gifts quickly, sometimes it’s easy to forget the whole reason for the season. Here are 10 commandments I came up with to keep you focused while you are buying, giving, and receiving:

Now: take a deep breath and remind yourself that your shopping will get done in time (it also doesn’t hurt to remind yourself that you are stressing out about first world problems). This year, you will come up with good, meaningful gifts that are going to be truly enjoyed and put to good use. Be sure to check back  for Thursday’s post: the Ultimate (alternative) Gift Giving Guide which will include gift ideas for the man/woman in  your life, and that person who has everything, among others.

Cheers,

Bucky
